From the Summit of the Zugspitz, it seems you can see forever. The frozen breath, the snow covered ladder, cables and ledges…crevasses adorned in icles and snow that has yet to be touched by man…solitude, peace, and one’s perspective on life can be felt and pondered.

Location: Garmisch, Germany atop the Zugspitz.
Equipment used: Nikon D300, Nikkor 70-300 VR lens, lots of cold weather gear.

Pathways….
I shot this image (back when I was just a novice at digital photography) on one of my hikes in Garmisch Germany. As I was really clueless on proper exposure and graduated ND filters, I shot this bare through a lens and a Nikon D90 camera. I had to use some HDR processing (luckily I was at least smart enough to shoot in RAW), and it was the only way I could bring out the details of what I saw. I hope it is not too over processed for you all, just taking a walk back through some of my old files and found this, wanted to share, enjoy!

A Storm Rolls In…
During my visit to Garmisch, Germany, I was able to capture this image of a mountain located near the Zugstpitz. As storm clouds rolled in over the moutain peak, I tried to capture the clouds as they rolled down on my side of this amazing landscape. You can also see two seperate ski lifts dwarfed by the sheer size of this mountain, and the ski lift’s power and transfer station..a massive structure, is also dwarfed.

Location: Garmisch, Germany
Equipment used: Nikon D300, Nikkor 80-300 VR lens, and a circular polarizer filter.
