Charleston, SC, USA, Night photography
More to come, but wanted to share this one with everybody..
This image to me overall is nearly exactly what I was going for. However; in my excitement of all of the conditions being right for this shot….I made a major technical error……I left my camera cable release 15 floors down and half a parking lot away! I fired this one manually (hence the trail of lights in the image), and then I remembered….hey, why not use the camera’s self timer? DUH? well, by the time the fog lifted in my brain and I actually applied that change, the half of the bridge went dark…(I had NO idea they turned off the lights on the bridge!)

Equipment used: Nikon D700, 70-200 2.8 VR lens, Iduro CT213 tripod, Induro BDH2 ballhead. Camera settings: f/18@ 30s, ISO100.

A Storm Rolls In…
During my visit to Garmisch, Germany, I was able to capture this image of a mountain located near the Zugstpitz. As storm clouds rolled in over the moutain peak, I tried to capture the clouds as they rolled down on my side of this amazing landscape. You can also see two seperate ski lifts dwarfed by the sheer size of this mountain, and the ski lift’s power and transfer station..a massive structure, is also dwarfed.

Location: Garmisch, Germany
Equipment used: Nikon D300, Nikkor 80-300 VR lens, and a circular polarizer filter.
