Wow, I took this shot 2 days ago, and already I have been asked, (by several), to make it available as a poster. I must be getting a little bit better with my photography (thanks to you guys!) As you all know, the artist is his/ her own worst critic. So what do you guys think?
Camera Info:
Image shot with a Nikon D700, Nikkor 24-70 2.8 lens. ISO 200, f/9, 1/125 sec,
Key light: Einstein 640 via beauty dish.

Go for the poster Stan… would be super great — this is the coolest!! Yes – you are getting better and better — did you use a fan for hair effect, or just capture this fast motion ~ ? Kudos to you my dear friend — really wonderful to watch your evolution as an artist! ~ Much Love — RL

Greetings Robyn! Thank you so much for your kind words (and your visit), and no, for this shot, I asked the model to do a “hair flip”, and it was my assignment to freeze the action with flash, instead of shutter speed. I will add the details of this shot in the post and republish. Great question! I trust you are safely back in the states and….managing with new tools? Always a delight to hear from you dear friend, much appreciation for your art and friendship!

So interesting Stan ~ you did a great job with this assignment — I need to stare at it some more. I actually flew home today – and just unwinding and unpacking some here ~ feels sort of surreal to be back and cannot believe I just left town for 6 weeks 🙂 Was quite an adventure. Hope to keep up with all I learned there on the training… lots of homework… and also hope to do update post soon and get back in the blogging mode of things here… Much love dear one ~ xRL

Your too kind lovely Resa! Thank you so much, my instructor agrees and gave me high marks for this one! My art still pales in comparison to yours Resa, your much more inclined than me. But I must admit, I am having a blast trying to catch up with you! Stay safe, stay in touch, and thank you so much for the visit and your wonderful kindness!

Love the movement and exposure on the model, Stan. The background is a bit distracting but that can be darkened in post. Great shot though
