Smidge!! The Mile High Bridge is in the Grandfather Mountain Park in North Carolina. The park is privately owned and has bears, eagles, otters, owl’s, etc…that have been saved from injuries and put here to be cared for as they can no longer survive in the wild. Once you enter the park, take the road to the left and follow that twisty, winding road to the parking lot of the bridge. The views from the twin peaks this bridge connects are stunning! Though the bridge is not really that high above ground as the name implies…it really is that high above sea level. Thanks so much for the visit and the comments! Always such a delight when you visit! That sounds so lovely.. my friend lived in Carolina for a year and said she absolutely loved it there and still keeps in touch with friends she met while living there.. combined with such a beautiful landscape, I can see why she would live there again! You’re always welcome!
